We install Generac Guardian Series generators. The generators and engines are engineered and built in the USA and come with a 5 Year Limited Warranty. They are availabe in a range of sizes from 10kW to 26kW. This allows our estimators to create a system customized for your unique electrical needs.

Automatic Transfer Switch
The automatic transfer switch (ATS) is the brains of a home generator system. It alerts the generator to turn on in the event of a power loss, and then automatically switches from utility power to generator power. When power is restored, it automatically switches back to utility power and turns off the generator.
Natural Gas or Propane
The Generac Guardian Series home generator can run on natural gas or liquid propane. Typically, customers will choose the fuel type that is existing or most readily available. Alameda Electric and its power partners can help you with either option.
Generator Location
There are several safety requirements to consider when choosing a location for your generator. Our estimator can help you find a location that is safe, economical, and aesthetically-pleasing when they conduct a site visit. Generators need to sit on a solid base. Typically we place them on a premade concrete "Genpad" or a poured-in-place concrete pad.
Retrofit What You Have
You may have an essential circuit panel in your home that is powered by a portable generator. Adding an automatic transfer switch and a standby generator is often a simple, economical, and reliable solution and upgrade.
Power the Essentials
The Generac prewired switch is designed to operate 8-24kW air-cooled generator. The transfer switch has an integrated load center for picking up the emergency circuits. It is especially useful where the main service is large and only a portion of the building load will be served by the generator.
Generators and Solar
If you have solar panels, and are considering adding a standby generator, consult an experienced electrician.
